Chris Viaggio is a Queens-based independent writer and curator. He is a contributor to Flash Art International, and has produced content for Hole, Earth, Catalog, Ecocore, and Rockaway Summer. His recently organized duo show of Darja Bajagić and Boyd Rice, to have been held at Greenspon in New York, was cancelled the night before its scheduled opening. In 2017, he edited a book-length collection of multidisciplinary texts, titled Rockaway Beach: Art and Adaptive Capacity Post-Hurricane Sandy, reflecting on the proliferation of art across the Rockaway peninsula since Hurricane Sandy. In the same year, he organized a solo exhibition of Corey Rubin's photographs and paintings on federal park grounds at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Broad Channel. Before this, he worked as a freelance reporter for The Wave newspaper in Rockaway Beach from 2014–2015.
